(no subject)
I was quite sure I had all manner of important things with which to update my journal, but I really don't think there is anything of interest to anyone. I've been home from uni for almost a month and it's been wonderful so far. I really needed to get away, the house was getting so stressful and everyone was sniping and bitching. It's been raining pretty much every day since I've been back but today looks sunny so far!
I've been working at the surgery a few days here and there to cover people on holiday, which has been good because I need the money and I do still love that job. We have a female locum doctor working with us until August to cover Amanda's departure, and Jon is now senior partner. They've just done interviews to find the new partner. I've not met her yet but Mum has and she liked her, so that's good. We have a new secretary too, Beryl has retired. Her retirement party was at Donna's (Mrs Hot Nurse!!) and I had too much to drink. It was fun though! I'm also working Sunday's at Hawkin's Bazaar (which means I'm missing the KLP picnic this year CRY CRY). I worked there from when I was 16 til 18, so it's kinda weird to be back. Last Sunday was my first day. I forgot how boring retail is!! But it's money so I can't complain! My wages from both jobs don't cover the rent for my house in Brighton, but it should help.
Since I've been back I've been up to Bath for Emma's birthday and graduation, which was very exciting. I'm so proud of her, she graduated with a first in maths. I've also been into school to talk to the year 12s about going to uni which was fun, although kinda scary as Smithy (my old teacher! She is hot!) made me stand up in front off the entire year 12. Jem and Ross moved into their house a couple weeks ago, it's lovely! They're so lucky. I went to Paignton Zoo on Monday with Mum, Jem and Ross for Jem's birthday. That was really fun, although I was in pain the whole day as I woke up Monday morning unable to move my neck much. It took me 10 minutes just to get out of bed! Anyway, I hadn't been to that zoo in years and it had changed loads. There was a baby rhino!! It was the cutest thing!! When we got home Rossy proposed to Jem!!! They're now engaged!! So exciting. I was meant to go to London with Matt yesterday to see Tori Amos, then go on to Brighton for a couple nights to pick up loads of stuff I forgot. Unfortunately my neck was still pretty bad so I couldn't :[ I'm so sad, I've wanted to see Tori for years! I hope there will be another time. Today my neck still hurts but it moves a bit more now.
