Shamelessly Borrowing

Apr 22, 2008 10:53

Okay...totally borrowing imaginedmelody's drabble thingy (which I think everyone should see cuz her drabbles rocked) and I'm doing my own half-assed version...

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them. (I only did five)

All are un-betaed, due to the nature of the meme. :)

Title: Five Mylar drabbles that were musically inspired
Author: Megmatthews20
Fandom/Pairing: Mylar
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Too much reliance on dialog? Seasons 1 and 2

1. Stone Temple Pilots - Sour Girl (4:15)

Mohinder’s eyes fluttered as he leaned back into Sylar’s embrace, strong hands on his arms, holding him, wanting him, needing him.

“You want this?” Sylar whispered into Mohinder’s ear.

Mohinder opened his eyes, looking at the wall before him, remembering, fearing. Those strong hands belonged to...

“No, no I don’t, please...”

“Ah, but it’s too late,” Sylar said, gripping Mohinder tighter as the smaller man struggled to get away.

“You bastard,” Mohinder spat as he was turned around in Sylar’s arms.

“Indeed,” Sylar smiled.

2. Oasis - The Importance of Being Idle (3:41)

Sylar tapped his foot lazily, hands running under the pillow as his hips bucked up. His mouth opened in a yawn, and his breath came out in a happy moan.

“Morning, Mohinder.”

Mohinder rolled his eyes, already dressed, hair looking particularly lovely after his shower.

“Sylar, you really need to find a job.”

Sylar’s lips puffed out in a pout.

“But I’d rather stay in all day and make love to my favorite geneticist.”

Mohinder threw his hands up in the air, walking to the door. He stopped short when it slammed shut before him. He spun around.

“Sylar, open the door!”

“No, come to bed.”

3. Seal - Crazy (4:28)

Mohinder ran. The road seemed to stretch out forever before him, but his legs continued to carry him down that concrete stretch of nothing. It didn’t matter where he was going, only what he was escaping from. In the darkness things had become so strange, so frighteningly intimate. Those long fingers coming out of the darkness, caressing him, flowing over him, making him come in a moment of pure bliss.

And now, the morning brought that cold lump of guilt.

How could he?

Why would he?

The taller man had slept soundly, his arm resting over the side of the bed, face pressed into the pillow. Mohinder had slid out, heart in his throat, a lashing for Sylar on the end of his tongue, but never crossing his lips.

He continued to run.

To get away.

Down the next corner, and the next street. How far did super-hearing go?

How much further before his lungs felt like bursting.

And then he came to a halt.

There, before him, the tall figure.

“Sylar.”

4. INXS - Mystify (3:17)

Those almond eyes. It gave Sylar chills as he stared at Mohinder across the table. How close they were now, after being a country apart. There was so little in between them, just a hunk of wood and some dishes.

Maya’s breakfast smelled wonderful, but his hunger was only for the man before him. Mohinder had to play along. He had to keep cool. He had to protect the little one.

Sylar’s grin grew as he asked casually about the virus. It was supposed to be nothing to him, just another threat. The geneticist was frightened. Oh so beautiful as he looked between the unwelcome guests, trying to figure out the situation.

Oh to take him back into that bedroom, to plead with him, to bring back his old friend.

But now the obstacles were more.

Maya had opened her mouth...

Mohinder had heard loud and clear.

“Damnit, now we can’t have any breakfast,” Sylar thought.

5. Silverchair - Straight Lines (3:27)

“Save me. Forgive me. Ravish me, destroy me, do whatever you will with me, I’m yours.”

Mohinder placed a trembling hand on Sylar’s head.

“Why are you doing this?” Mohinder asked.

“I’m lost. I’m so lost. I need you. Please, Mohinder,” Sylar said, tracing his hands up Mohinder’s pants, over those fine hips, up to his chest.

Mohinder brought both his hands down to Sylar’s, squeezing them.

“You would change?”

“For you, I would! I would do anything! Please, Mohinder.”

Sylar pressed his chin to Mohinder’s knee, looking up at him imploringly.

Mohinder’s breathing grew heavy.

“You would let me possess you?”

“I would relish it,” Sylar grinned.

Mohinder brought his face to Sylar’s and softly, tenderly, they kissed.
