progress towards de-hermiting myself.
i met some new people tonight at a crafty swap! they were nice and fun, and i want to start going to their meetings, where i guess they usually just bring projects to work on and hang out. i took a tote bag full of fabric, and came home with a slightly less full bag (this is a good thing) containing:
- some really cute fabrics (some blythe-able scraps, one piece i can maybe squeeze a skirt out of, and a piece of great fake fur)
- a shelving unit for the blythes
- two doll heads (one is osyalle-style and the other is very 60s japanese but is more like a faceplate that needs a rag doll body)
- one of the most amazing mod furniture/interiors books i've ever seen
i am being a big tease talking about it without including photos/scans, but i'm tired and until i get a desk, my home-based computing is done sitting on the edge of my bed (the computer is on a low coffee table) so all i have to do is lean backwards to go to sleep. without first editing this post, even though it has too many parentheses.
the only other thing i have to say is that it was ridiculously windy today. so much so that at one point i just burst out laughing because i couldn't walk properly and felt like a cartoon.
