Though you may say things that make my eyes close, I still find that marvellous.
Though you may say things that shatter and degrade, I love how you can make me feel infinite and wonderful three words later.
"So this is a car wreck..."
And I want to carve my way up the sides of the mountain until I reach the top.
There I will build a city.
There I will raise an army.
I will go to the top where the rain clouds linger slightly above, crowding together in conversation.
The rain sounds pleasant and calm as it drifts in through the window.
Constantly closer, like an eavesdropping neighbor.
"Come back here and I will bury you in the desert."
-And what a fine grave it will be.
The rain is the only thing constant and sure.
Run back as the water edges closer.
I handed you the ugliest sea shells.
but it was beautiful.
I'm happy right now.
It may be something made up in my head.
My heart may be playing another game.
But it is here.
And this is something.
And that in itself is better than nothing.
And that's completely okay.
