1. At what point did you realize that you were in love with your wife?
(what can I say, I love this question)
I think about 3 months before I proposed, I realized I wanted to be with her until the end. Which is when I knew for sure that this relationship was different from all of the previous relationships.
2. If time, money, education, etc weren't an issue, what would be your
ideal career?
What I'd be best at? Or what I'd like to do? What I would be best at: Probably teaching theology. Almost all faiths are fascinating, and I think studying them from an outsider perspective is fun and rewarding. What I'd like to do: Run Walmart. I wonder if I had the apparatus of the largest employer in the country, could I make a possitive change on corporate practices that would ripple to other corporations?
3. If you could write the book of your life, what would it be titled?
Fortunately, Running with Scissors has been used, so the Publisher couldn't force that on me. To be totally pompous, The Book of Shade. Not sure if it would be a book of recipes, or bad jokes.
4. What makes you smile? I mean really smile. Not the 'heh' kinda smile
when something amuses you. :)
My wife and daughter. Both of them can be so loving and awesome that I sometimes wonder what I did in a previous life to deserve them. Mayhap I handed Judas some rope?
5. Which Shakespearean character would you most like to play and why?
In the past I've said Mercutio because of his speeches. But Mercutio is a young mans role. Now, I would say Prospero. As to why? He has awesome monologues, gets to smack Caliban around, and with the correct director, I'd get to play with pyrotechnics!
