France... was awesome. There was a bit of Paris at 5 in the morning with eating croissants and the flashing Eiffel Tower and random people under it doing the Hogwarts song <333, and then further down to the south of France where we did some canoeing with a hilarious French guy and visited a festival and hit each other with a French loaf and Marilyn peed in a waterfall and we drove tortuous roads up various mountains (word of the day!) and I got attacked by bugs. The weather was perfect, the people were perfect (even everyone in Paris was having a good day!) and the food was nice too.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was brilliant. It came out when we were in Paris and there were huge posters everywhere. We didn't go see it in France, because there was plenty else to do, but we went to see it in an IMAX theatre yesterday, so that made up for the waiting. Popcorn, whee! Even Marilyn had to admit that Snape was really made of awesome (ALL. THE. TIME.), because he was and I love the new director and Luna and Tonks with a snout omg and Sirius being all cool and groovy in his coat and the last twenty minutes in 3D, holy crap. Talking of magic coming to life. It made the scene between Voldemort and Dumbledore even more spectacular than it already was and hell I didn't even care that they left out half of the book (I suppose I've gotten used to it by now) or that the Pensieve scene was so short and we didn't really get to see Snape's underwear or that the veil was totally not as I'd imagined/wanted it.
As for the other Harry Potter thing. Omgsquee. I've almost finished HBP now and the suspense is killing me... I WANT ANSWERS. I can't believe that in just 48 hours everything will all be over. No more canon ever again. Thank god for fanfic.
