It's Like, Beautiful Gore

It's Like, Beautiful Gore. You know?

If summer was still a gleam in your eye,
I'll bet the love won't go away.
Sometimes weather changes moods
And shelf-life drops to decay.

Cancer tears my throat to shreds and teaches me a new song
While the cool, collected, winter months are coming on strong

So stay in when the weather is dreadful
We can have just another night to ourselves
The words we haven't found yet are haunting every kiss like
A monster in the back of the room waiting for it's chance to strike
(so...maybe just once more)

I remember every ember
Remember every last chance
I called you out that last night
And swore I'd take the long flight
This city isn't heaven
It's far from being cordial
The sentiment was decent
But it's cracked just like the pavement we curse

Lights can only shed the truth for so long
Maybe now's your chance to ask them why they tagged along...

So stay in when the weather is dreadful
We can have just another night to ourselves
The words we haven't found yet are haunting every kiss like
A monster in the back of the room waiting for it's chance to strike
(so...maybe this was the breaking point)
