On Solving S. Korea's Starving Population

Aug 04, 2005 09:29

I just read an article in the New York times About the researches in South Korea who just cloned a dog for the first time. When asked for comment American researcher Dr. Cameron said this:

"Apart from ethical issues, dogs are like family members. My dog is now deceased, but I wouldn't want to clone Charlie. It would be disrespectful to Charlie and to Charlie II."

So, scientifically speaking, cloning your dead dog is disrespectful, but treating your new pet like a sequel to a horror movie is not disrespectful.
