so i am in pittsburgh for the next week. what about my job?
despite my best efforts, i still have not gotten fired. my first night of working on the floor with my own tables i had mistakes at nearly every single one. and i only had three tables that night.
we pool tips, and i only get 40% compared to a "senior server" this equals shit for tips. so i decided to quit. if they want to have quality service like me, they are going to have to pay for it. i am moving to brooklyn may 1st, and decided to spend the week until i move in pittsburgh and take advantage of my aunts hot tub. normally, when you have only worked in a restaurant for two weeks, do a crappy job, and then leave without making sure the rest of your shifts are covered, you are pretty much done for. but when i told them i wsa leaving, they said to call them when i got back. for shitty tips? not likely. thanks but no thanks, assholes, ill fuck up a job somewhere that i can get more money.
