Anseo (Irish for present/here) Pairings: Aiba/Jun and Jun/Sho Rating: NC-17 Word Count: 2,156 Because I’m not doing je_holiday. I was wondering what to do about this but I ended up writing this instead. I... actually don’t like it.
So I said I was saving your fic for a rainy day and while it isn't really one I came by to read this and IT IS INCREDIBLE.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my comment for Spica but I love the way sex is not merely the end of the story or its starting point, but has everything to do with how the fic unfolds. I'm putting this across really clumsily but - it's not just hot; it means something in the general scheme of things; there is a function to all those scenes and it works.
More than that, I think it ties in with how well you understand the characters. Their interactions here really got to me - I loved Jun and Aiba, and I loved Jun and Sho when that popped up, and Nino and Ohno, when they appeared, seemed spot on to me.
And your language. I want to crawl inside your words and live there for a week, because the way you write is so lovely and so effortlessly elegant. What is there not to love?
From reading some of the other comments I gather that you're not completely satisfied with the ending, but I'm just going to say here that it worked just fine for me! I couldn't imagine it any other way, to be honest, and I liked how, like with a lot of things in life, the resolution wasn't completely rounded out (to borrow the phrase).
Also, this line: Sho’s face is completely stricken in the wake of a realization gained too late. This kind of jumped out at me in a sea of extremely beautiful lines, so I thought I'd quote it back at you. :D
I feel that there should be more to say in response to this, but for the moment I shall just spam you with little hearts and let them do the talking. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Why are you so amazing? This comment is so much more than I deserve. I love you for validating the sex (!!) and my characterization and dynamics.
I feel that this is also providence because I've been having To Be Found Next Summer on a Riverbank open in a tab and I am savoring it.
Something had clicked, then, in that strong, clean surge backwards, his wrists snapping perfectly as he guided himself across the water.
I love how you make my heart contract briefly then pulse again faster with how you craft a story. I should probably leave a coherent, well thought-out comment on it but I can't tear my eyes away from the goods on my page just yet.
And I'm not the only one who loves you, as evinced by this and this one too. :)
(I love you for these little hearts too, mademoiselle
)
BY THE WAY I forgot to tell you that I love you so hard for putting Koyuki in your zombie fic. And for, you know, writing a zombie fic. With Nino.
It was the least I could do; your fic was so lovely. ♥
I am flailing a bit that you are reading To Be Found! :D Like I was telling g_esquared, I've completely lost perspective on it so I cannot decide whether I like it or hate it any more. And yeah, when I saw the recs I was all OMG and spazzy.
(♥ how do you get your hearts to be red and shiny)
Koyuki needs more love! As do zombies. And perhaps Nino. :D KwP was the first jdrama I watched, if I'm not wrong, so...
