Ok so just so you know, the following post is going to be about God/Jesus. I didn't start up this journal again just solely for that purpose, but something last night struck me. As far as being smarter now, not everybody back then immediately clung to Jesus after just hearing about him through the grapevine. Take paul for example, he persecuted Christians and followers of Jesus for years. Eventually though, he was convinced that jesus was truly who he claimed to be. Did paul all of the sudden just become stupid? Also, sure in the past 2000 years, I know humans have become smarter as far as book smarts and whatnot are concerned. Although, I think that this gives humans sort of a tunneled vision. For many people, things have to line up exactly with science in order for it to be true. We can't see past the scientific perspective and just truly think about how the universe came to be. Sure, gases could have collided or we could have started out as 1 celled creatures, but how did it all start? How did those gases and cells come to be? Even a single cell is so complex, it seems outragous to think it was always just there. Something had to put it there that is outside the restrictions of science.
And I don't want to start an arguement or anything. I don't even know who you are lol. You do make some interesting points, but I've also witnessed firsthand how God can change my life by just putting some trust in him. I've seen him answer my prayers time after time, and that gives me more faith than anything I can read in the bible or learn at church and retort here.
