just another one of my lame poems i wrote during public speaking this time lol
Today is a new day
but nothing has changed
im still as bitter and as angry as before
with everyday things are suppose to get easier
That’s what I was told
Than why does this pain only grow?
Today is a new day
I’ll pretend to smile
Until I get back to my room
I’ll take off the make-up
Get into my sweats
And cry over you.
Today is a new day
Fare to busy to morn over you
I have papers to write
Presentations to give
And bosses to please
Watch me drown my pain in busyness.
Today is a new day
My friends stopped by
My parents called
Guess I really do have people that care
Today is a new day
But I don’t care
I’m back in that parking lot where we last said our goodbye.
