On my way to bed, I heard this beautiful music and at first I thought it was a CD or the radio so I turned everything off and listened. Following it, I ended up on my back porch and found that one of the two new neighbours downstairs was playing a guitar. I have never actually heard anyone play a guitar like that who wasn't a professional on stage - it was amazing.
The back door is horrendously loud so there's no way the person didn't hear me open it and listen. I stood there for a long time. Finally, they stopped playing and I was tempted to clap but didn't for fear of ruining the moment.
So, instead, I came inside, cut big hunks out of the cake Rose and I made this afternoon and put it in tupperware. I then penned: I didn't mean to eavesdrop. Your guitar playing was lovely, very beautiful. Have some cake - it came from a box and isn't very good but everyone loves chocolate, no? I signed it and left it in front of their door.
Now two things will happen: our neighbours will like us (yay! To be clear we introduced ourselves about 10.3 seconds after they stopped unpacking and I verbally bent over backwards to make sure they knew they could ask us if they needed anything. I do NOT want neighbours like last time! Plus these ones seem cool.) and they will have to return the tupperware. Which means they will have to communicate next.
Bwahaha. I iz clevah in manipuewlationz!
