Quick Post on Golden Globes

Robin Williams: The comedic genius of our time. He will always be remembered.

Jamie Foxx: I've not seen "Ray" but from what I have seen, he looks like he greatly deserved this. His speech was the best of the night...props to you, Jamie.

Leo: YOU DESERVED IT. CONGRATULATIONS ON FINALLY GETTING YOUR RICHLY DESERVED AWARD!!!

My two biggest shocks of the night were, ironically, ones that I was really going for...

Clive Owen and Natalie Portman.

HOLY SHIT.

After the SAG's (assholes!!!) didn't nominate them, (and instead put in noms for the old-timers, who did well but not award worthy level work, James Garner and Cloris Leachmen) I thought they were out of the race.

Natalie Portman overthrew Virginia Madsen, Cate Blanchett, and Laura Linney, not to mention everyone's favorite Meryl Streep. That's very effin hard to do.

And Clive Owen overthrew Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church, and Morgan Freeman, all possible winners, (I was personally rooting for Carradine for his instantly iconic role in Kill Bill Volume 2, but due to Miramax's shitty ass campaigning for the film, his win wasn't one I was expecting)...

I am SO THRILLED FOR BOTH OF THEM. They were both absolutely stunning in that film, and I couldn't be happier for them.

Mazeltof to Sideways and The Aviator as well...Hilary Swank and Clint, major congrats, and even though Kate Winslet was the one I was DYING to see win, a big congratulations to Annette Bening. It takes a hell of a performance to beat Kate Winslet in my book, so I'm guessing you turned in one that is definetely worth seeing, (plus, I was rooting for you in 1999 with your WOWing perf in American Beauty.)

...that's it, lol. :D
