Kudos to REI for some truly excellent customer service in the shoe department today. I had one of the best shoe buying experiences of my life. I didn't get any attitude (like at some smaller hipster shoe stores that I will not name) or any pressured sales pitches and disgruntlement (like at Nordy's) - just fast, friendly, knowledgable service and some pleasant conversation.
Also kudos to REI again, for having one of the most awesome return policies known to man: 100% satisfaction (i.e. return it whenever the heck you feel like it, even if it's twenty years from now).
And, yippee for me, since I finally got the shoes I've eyed for over two years.
