I've opened several new chains of businesses around the kingdom and outlying cities, corrected mountains of mistakes made by incompetents, and spent a very delightful month with various members of the royal family. And what do I find when I've returned home? A smug little swan in my bed, ordering everyone about ( Read more... )

Welcome home, Keigo.

Let's get together soon so you can tell me all about your journeys and new businesses.

You're still interested? From what I've heard, you've kept busy while I was away.

Of course I am, you're my friend.

Don't act hurt, you knew about him before you went away. What else was I supposed to do without you to keep me company?

Wait for my return or come with me, of course.

You didn't invite me. You know I've always wanted to go travelling. You'll have to tell me all about your adventures.

And you know I'm not that patient.

Funny how the two people I would have expected to invite themselves along both claim they needed invitations now.

Two? Who else would you have taken?

And blame my parents for drilling too many manners into me. I may invite myself over for dinner, but inviting myself along for such a long trip would be too much.

Though I'm not polite enough not to ask if you brought me back any souveniers.

Rin has also complained that I left without him. As though I'm expected to read your minds when I have a crisis occurring I need to rectify, really...

But I wouldn't have minded at all if you'd wanted to tag along, Yuushi.

He who does not ask does not receive.

Rin? You went to the ball with him, right? You two have become quite close if you'd be happy having him with you for a month.

We can't be expected to read your mind either, Keigo. I assumed you'd be too busy with work to have time for a tag along. Perhaps if you go on a weekend trip I can accompany you.

Then you did bring me back something? Is it edible? Or can I display it on my desk?

Not that close. He'd likely insist on bringing that insufferable anima with him...

I could arrange that if you like.

Several somethings. You'll have to come here to see.

Ah, I see. Though if I was going away for a month, I imagine I'd miss my fox, too.

Don't go out of your way for it, you've only just returned. But keep me in mind the next time you have a small trip.

Sounds intriguing. I'm free tomorrow if you are.

You wouldn't miss him that much.

Perhaps something in a few months.

Completely free?

I've grown quite attached to him. I'd miss making sure he was suitably spoiled each day.

Sounds lovely.

I have a few things to attend to in the morning. But I can be there before lunch.

Ugh. The things you do for those creatures, Yuushi, really...

A few things? Like what?

But he makes such cute faces at me when I scratch his ears. How could I resist?

A few work reports for my father and I need to swing by the university. I'll head to your place from there if it's all right with you.

Mm. You are unable to resist things like that...

Aa. I'll be expecting you then.
