First day of work after winter break today. It was actually a very very good day. I was feeling good all day and I think my kids caught on to that. At least I enjoyed my classes today.
Then I got home though. First I have to explain to those of you who are not my facebook friends... In January I got a cat. She's a beautiful gray tabby who will be one year old in April. She has been very active and very cuddly all the time. Last Thursday I went and got her sterilized, and for little girl cats that's quite an invasive procedure where they take out both ovaries and uterus, and the cats end up with a 2-3inches sewed up wound on their bellies. Now, in order for her not to get any bacteria into the wound she was equipped with a little kitty leotard when she was sent home with me.
Here she is... Grumpy as heck with the leotard on. The vet said we would have to keep it on until March 8th when we're going there to take out the stitches. Kitty did not agree with this, so when I was at work today she somehow managed to wrestle out of the leotard and then bite off the bandage over the stitches. Great. Very intelligently done kitty. I came home to a VERY HAPPY kitty running around with her belly bare. The stitches looked good though. Nice pale pinkish color, no irritation and no liquids around the stitches at all, so after talking to the vet we decided that I should clean the wound and put the leotard back on, and then call again tomorrow morning to tell them how the wound is doing.
At least she seems to be more energetic again :)
