reasons to live by yourself
here is a list of weird things my roommate has done recently:
1. over spring break, she attempted to walk to san antonio with her boyfriend (but they only got to south austin before she called someone to come pick them up).
2. last week, she came into the house, walked up to my cat, and bent so they were pretty much face to face. Then she started singing a soft, gentle "lullaby" to the cat, for at least 5 minutes, while I was standing right there, which i'm sure she was aware of. and then she walked off without any explanation.
3. one day i came home and she was lying on the floor of the living room, next to her boyfriend (aka third roommate but the kind that doesn't pay rent or bills, but i'm not bitter) who was leaning over her...ok i don't know what was going on before that but before i could even ask what was going on she says "lying on the floor straightens my back" and in my mind i was like, ok, and it's also the perfect position for you and your bf to fuck on my living room floor, i'm not retarded.
4. made this music video with her boyfriend, who recently graduated from film school. It needs no further explanation. oh, except if i were his parent's i'd be pissed that i paid for his college education.
5.she and the bf are also known to perform spontaneous fight scenes, complete with sound effects. Sometimes in the middle of dinner.
6. a while ago i was talking to her about cake, as i frequently do, and she was like "oh, that's cool. I'm learning how to make ice cream cake" so i was like, "oh yeah? just for fun?" "and she was like, "no, I got a job at marble slab a few weeks ago and they're going to train me to make the ice cream cakes." alright so that one isn't actually that weird, but it is kind of weird that she never even mentioned it to me, like, "oh hey guess what i got a job at marble slab," considering that we talk on a daily basis and it just seems like something you would share/wouldn't need to keep secret.
