...no, seriously. Let's just say, Schuldig and Brad have similar goals, as different as they are in other aspects.

Before

CANON.
Canonically, Schuldig and Brad are teammates, have clearly been so before series start already and are the only ones still as the series continues. From the Drama CDs it's known that they slept with the same woman - unknowingly - which makes it rather obvious that they went to the same school - Rosenkreuz. It also makes it obvious that Brad is really good in bed and that Schuldig clearly wasn't trying very hard with that bitch. Rosenkreuz was located in Germany and is apparently operated by the organization SZ, who Brad and Schuldig both end up working for. Secretely, they and their team have different goals though. According to Brad's speech in the final episode of 'Kapitel' this goal is to let chaos rule the world, Schwarz is sure to survive everything. How truthful that speech was is debatable, but they definitely wanted and - apparently - won their freedom.

From around this point, Schuldig and Brad in this game are taken, but of course the story continued in canon.

Following the execution of their plan, they got into more trouble with SZ, but ultimately escaped. One of their teammates found himself a Mary Sue Plot Device girlfriend and left the team. Another member left as well, the exact circumstances aren't revealed, but at least it doesn't seem to have left any bitterness behind. Now a team of two, Brad and Schuldig still follow their own agenda by using others and with success.

From here on out this is going to be mixing canon and headcanon. Sue me.

HISTORY. They went to the same school, due to their psychic powers. It can be assumed that the school wasn't exactly particular about how willing the students were recruited.

Trained to be SZ agents, they formed a team and worked together, just the two of them, for some time, before two others joined them. N

RELATIONSHIP. Disclaimer: If you don't like the ship, don't look. Heh, seriously, I'm sorry if I offend anyone's OTP with this, but these two just make sense to me.

There are two things that are important for this: One, Brad and Schuldig think they are better than everyone. It's hard to argue the point with men who know your future or your mind. Two, they arguably see each other and no one else as equals.

Schuldig likes his two other teammates just fine. He certainly appears to respect them, in a way, which can't be said for anyone else.

Now

Schuldig's stuck in some world with very, very limited use of his power and creatures that are decidedly weird, rules that make no sense and NEVERENDING background music.

He's glad he's not alone there.
