Time for an update...AKA - Nina's still awake and it's 4:45AM
Hmmm. We're going to count this as a good day overall. I got up around 11:30 and was planning on going to the swim meet at 1, since it's the last home met of the year and I couldn't make it to any of the other ones. And I thought it was against Whitewater and one of my friends swims there so I would see her, but then remembered today would be senior day, and I really didn't want to be there for that. I think I made the right choice to not swim but I still do miss it a lot, and it would be weird to be sitting there thinking that I would be down there having my name read off if things were different. And the meet was against Oshkosh anyway. So I ended up hanging out with Marissa, Ben and Tom for most of the afternoon and watched a movie and played a quite rousing game of Trivial Pursuit - guys vs girls. The guys won. Bastards. Good match though. Then worked the desk one last time and spent the rest of the night watching lots of Sex and the City with Marissa.
I hope things are ok with me and Ben again. I hate fighting with friends, especially when I am fully aware that I'm the one at fault.
It's now been one year since Steve died. I don't think there has been a single day in the past year that I haven't thought about him. I really have no words right now to describe how I feel about him being gone...
