I don't know if I'll be able to keep doing it but....

I really think that the whole idea of a blog or LJ is great, but it works best if it's used more. So from now on, I'm going to make a serious effort to pen at least a few words EVERY day. Well, as often as possible.
Even if, as today, there is really nothing much to say. After all, that's what most people's lives are, one day following the others, and an occasional exciting bit. If I wait for the exciting bits, I may well be deleted for a dormant account!!!
The minister(Rick) and assistant minister(Stephen), plus the minister at the other church in our parish(Mark), our pastoral care worker(Leonie) and our Turkish worker(Kemal) all went to a conference today on professional standards. I do not think that it's a coincidence that when they are away, I actually got out at my official finishing time. It's so easy to do everything if you don't have several people coming from all different directions, all expecting that their needs should be my top priority. I'm learning that my "projects" (like totally re-organizing my filing cabinets) are best left for the days when they all go away. Stephen is getting maried on 2nd July, and Rick and his family will be on holidays for the week before that, so that week should be a good one for getting a lot of things done- neither Rick nor Stephen will be expectiong me to drop everything, and Mark and Kemal don't come in when Rick's away, so that's going to be the week that the new look filing cabinet happens. They are all lovely people, but none of them could run an office to save their lives. Stephen used to be a lawyer, and expects that I exist to look up phone numbers for him. And place the calls.
They're back tomorrow, so it's back to the chaos!
