Nearly two weeks ago I dared Amanda to ask me five questions. Little did I know that one of them would be SO tough that I would procrastinate for so long.
Here we go:
1. If you could move to any country in the world, where would you go? Or would you stay in Australia?
I love to travel, but the best part of any journey is when we turn into our street. When I get off a long flight I understand why the previous pope used to kiss the ground when he landed. There's no place like home, and this is the only country I would ever want to live in. Wouldn't mind visiting a lot more though!
2. Would you prefer to see a Neil Young concert or a CSN concert?
What sort of fiendish mind thinks of a question like this??? I adore Neil Young, I have only seen him once live and it will live in my mind as long as I still have a mind. BUT... I have seen Crosby Stills and Nash twice, and they are unbelievable. Their strength is in their harmonies and the interaction between them; age will never diminish that. After changing my mind numerous times, I finally decided that, because there are three of them and because the interaction makes a fourth element, CSN win. Just! My dream concert would be Crosby Stills Nash AND Young. Maybe it will happen, but until it does, I will just live on the memories of those wonderful moments I have already stored in my memory bank.
3. What accomplishment in your life are you the most proud of?
We have done foster care for the past few years and have looked after numerous children, some of whom have never really had much of a chance at life. We helped give them a chance. That, and the fact that I had the courage to take a low paying job (which I love) in the not-for-profit sector; it is so much easier to take the high paying option and never feeling that you have contributed anything truly worthwhile.
4. If forced to do one or the other, would you rather bungee jump or skydive?
If forced, I'd go down with the plane. There is no way I could voluntarily jump from a great height. I have only one massive fear in life which I strive to conquer, but in the end I try to manage my life so I don't have to look down. I simply could not do either.
5. What is your favorite flower?
Easy peasy; I love roses. Especially Mr Lincoln, which is a strongly perfumed deep red rose which just thrives in my somewhat neglected garden.
