Outta here
We live near Sydney. It's almost summer; last week we had a few days when we wore jackets and turned on the heaters then we had a couple of days that were quite warm. but I don't care about the weather in Sydney for the next few days- I'm heading to the tropics. Cairns is almost as far north as you can go and still be in Australia. It's a three hour flight and we're only going for a few days-back on Saturday night.
We booked our flights in July when Virgin Blue had a sale. We booked a resort through a site we belong to which has discount accommodation. It was so cheap I couldn't think of any reason to not go. We are planning to go to the Great Barrier Reef one day, to the Daintree Rainforest one day and the rest of the time our big decision will be to swim in the pool with straight sides or the pool with curved sides. Only a short break, but hopefully a great chance for rest and relaxation.
