My niece Hannah is only 6; on Friday, their security screen door fell off its runners onto her foot. Much blood and screaming later, off to the doctor and x-rays. Her toe is broken, and because she is so small, she needs to have the break wired. This afternoon, she is having surgery. We saw her last night and she semed fairly chirpy, but her parents (my brother and his wife) are extremely upset/worried/stressed. Fortunately, I don't think Hannah realises the risks of surgery, but for the rest of us, it's a worrying time. We know it is a relatively small thing, but she is a relatively small girl. For those of you who pray, this would be a good time to do it! For Bruce and Pearl as much as for Hannah.
