I think there is a correlation between my moods and the weather. Even though we need the rain (the whole country has been in drought for years), I always feel a bit despondent when it is raining, and immediately pick up when the weather brightens. We have had quite a bit of rain over the past week, but today, its warm and sunny and I feel great.
Much to my surprise, I am actually fairly mobile this morning. We usually go to our personal trainer every Tuesday, but have missed the past two weeks. I have had a rotten sinus "thingy" which has laid me low, and I am coughing and spluttering a lot. But I have missed it; I have felt sluggish and in need of some physical hard work. Last night I did my best, but there were a few things I just couldn't do; when we were doing exercises on the mat, I just kept coughing, so she sent me to walk laps while the others finished. And when we got home, I was feeling muscles whose very existence I had forgotten. But this morning, I feel fine. Our trainer is taking part in a fitness promotion on Sunday, and we are going to go to an extra class then; she thinks that if a few of her regulars are there, it will encourage onlookers to join in too. It will be at the International Regatta centre which is about 5 km away from our house. The centre was built for the Sydney Olympics, and is in constant use now. Quite a few of the Olympic venues are losing lots of money, as no-one uses them, but the regatta centre and the whitewater stadium are always being used, sometimes for organised events but often just for things like family picnics and groups walking or cycling.
Wednesday is usually my housework day, which isn't much fun until I finish and look around and realise that for the moment it's fairly clean. It isn't something I can get enthusiastic about, and I am giving a scrapbooking class tonight, so I have to get ready for that (which is much more fun than housework). The housework might be cut short today (Yay!)
