She took a break from real work to make herself a robotic pet, as she has a habit of doing periodically, and got totally engrossed in it. The pet is a mouse, it looks like a mouse, it acts like a mouse, it's the same size as a mouse, the only thing at all remarkable about it is that it's very obviously made of metal. Feel free to say anything you like about what it's been getting up to.]
