Exnay Comptonay. Insertay Policio

It's hard when all you have is speculation to hold you afloat. That's all I have, though. And I have massive amounts of it helping my heart still pump everyday... keeping my head above water.

The number we had been calling the past few days turned out to be a clothing store in the Compton Fashion center. A bilingual detective friend of sorts of my mums called yesterday and found out most of the real story. As it turns out, these people weren't the ones selling the puppy. They claim a man used their number as a call back area of sorts. The man came in one day with the puppy, placed the ad, and the next day was gone. Other than that, they said "went to arizona." Wheither that means the puppy or the man is unclear, but what I am certain of is that the owners of the store both know the man and have contact information for him but are very unwilling to give it up.

And so I called the police last night to check up on the police report that had been filled and to add this new information so the police can gather all the information from the two store owners. The woman in records checked. And checked. And checked. And nothing. No report had been turned in. And she was so upset by this. She had a Dachshund of her own. She whispered into the phone "Just between me and you... if anything ever happened to my baby... I don't know what'd I do. I'd do the same as you, though. Don't give up. You'll find him."

I went down to the police station this morning and filled out a new report. I left the detectives, who have the weekend off, my telephone number. And i'll both call them and go back in on Monday morning.

This hope is the only thing keeping the fire in my heart. It's the only real thing keeping the blood in my veins at a steady 98.6 degrees. And it's the only thing I really have left.
