NaNoWriMo Editing Coming Soon

So.  Holidays are over and I find myself back at school.  Did I mention how many hours I'm taking? Yeah.  Not intimidated at all.

I'm actually not too worried, as long as I can keep my languages straight and don't completely forget to do my assignments like I did last semester I should be fine. I've got a job at the Days Inn, which will help a lot. It's not very busy, so that will probably be where I do most of my homework. Still going home to CFA on Saturdays for about six to eight weeks, because I'm a sucker and my GM begged.  Also so I can see Christopher, though I have no idea what's going on with us right now.  He has a car again, so that's good.

I miss my laptop, typing on the stupid Dell desktop keyboard is making my emerging carpal tunnel rather painful even after just a couple of paragraphs.

Didn't actually go to the first day of classes due to an amazing fever and a swollen throat that made swallowing very painful.  But I did go today, to Italian, Creative Writing, and Structure of Present-Day English.  Italian is exciting.  The teacher speaks a lot of Italian during instructions, which is a refreshing change for me, as most of my French teachers have spoken mostly English in the classroom.  The book was ungodly expensive, but it's okay.  Also, the teacher is natively Spanish, which gives learning the language an interesting twist-- I'm sure that if I have him enough I'll end up speaking Italian with a Spanish accent.  Creative writing is okay, though not spectacular. It's an intro course, so I'll have to deal with some riff-raff from other majors, and our teacher, Adam, is a little too caught up in his experiences with VisionQuest in the jungles of Peru, where you take a dream inducing medicinal drug and have waking dreams that force you to face your fears.  Weird.  PED was okay, I think I'll enjoy it merely because of the subject matter. It's so weird to have discovered that I have a passion for language, not just learning it but actually understanding how it works.  I'm definitely going to try for a graduate degree in linguistics somewhere-- maybe.  We'll see.

Also, note the subject line of this post.  I'm not doing any editing right this minute, but I did put the file together from what I had on LJ (my computer is STILL in the shop, I miss it so much!  I've said that already, haven't I?)  I thought of printing it out and taking it with me to World Civ in about half an hour, but it's 81 pages long when double spaced (which it has to be for me to edit longhand the way I prefer to) and I don't think I have the money to print it.  Also, I really need to do well in this class and I don't think that would be a very good way to start off. I WILL edit soon though. Promise.
