It's nice that you wrote about chess. :P Yukimura is love. There's a certain lack of feeling this particular piece but I think it's suited for the topic in mind.

I completely understand the lack of emotion, it's mostly about Yanagi's mental calculations so that makes sense *nods* My muses tend to do whatever the heck they want and I just write it all down XD
Nice use of chess in a fic. I think this is the first story I've seen involving a chess game (at least in this fandom). Although tennis uses both physical and mental skills, it's interesting to see these two players in a game that relies more on the latter.

I was wondering about that because 48 just didn't seem large enough, but the internets are too lazy to post a picture of an actual standard-sized board up on them (or I wasn't searching properly ~_~;;) Eh, I'm lame ^^;
