We now return you to your regularly scheduled life
This past week was a lot of fun. We had Gram and Mom up from Ohio (not my mother, people. Heather's mother.) and we got to do most of the things we wanted. One afternoon was spent in the mountains at Profile Lake and The Basin. It wasn't too hot, in fact it was drizzly but there was almost no one around and it was rather nice. Wednesday we went to a Fisher Cats game that was rained out after only four innings so we now have four free tickets to another game of our choice. Score! Thursday was a chill and relax day, Friday everyone but me went to see a long-time friend - I didn't go because Thursday night...it's a whole story.
Thursday I went to have dinner with my parents and for once my brother was actually there. He grabbed a roll and was carrying it to the living room and I was laughing at him because he was making funny noises. Apparently it was still rather hot. So he said the next time I got hurt he'd make sure to laugh. He wasn't really in pain, he was just being Steven. I don't even remember why he grabbed my hands that night but at some point he had both of my hands in his much larger grip and was squeezing them. I immediately went into the whole "OW OW OW!" thing and tried to pull away and he's laughing like he's gotten his revenge. Then Mom and Dad were like, "No! Let Go!" because he has somehow managed to not get it into his brain that I have arthritis in my hands. Needless to say the evening did not end well and I was in a lot of pain the next day.
Saturday we spent the day shopping and ended up having a lot more fun than we expected to. Then we watched a movie at home and just relaxed. Sunday was church, then out to the ocean for the afternoon. Then last night we went and had dinner with Jess, Adam, and the kids. It was a really nice, fun, relaxing vacation from my normal every day life. Now it's time to get back to it!
My apartment is a mess (to my standards. I guess it's not really that bad), I have laundry to do, writing projects to catch up on, a guest room to clean and rearrange so it can become our craft room/library. I need to figure out how to get my name out there for customs so I can keep adding to my car savings, plus I have to get new glasses. Yeesh!
So anyway, all this to say I'm back around. Busy for a couple of days while I catch up, but back.
