Writing and stuff
I don't know how I managed it but somehow I got 1,645 words yesterday. Most of it was for book two, but still. It was better than I'd done in a long time. This chapter with my antagonists for book one, though...I know what fills my creative well for certain things but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get into Laidley and Merrik's heads. We may have to have a meeting. I was trying to avoid it because that makes me sound two steps away from crazy, but it is a thing I do sometimes. And I don't ever really call it a meeting. We have a campfire because I am an NCIS fan.
Is it terrible to say I am so ready to be done with this book? Maybe it was a bad idea to start on Book of Secrets before Heritage was completely finished and being pimped out.
I also got some good research done for my new project. I have the opening scene in my head already but now I just have to figure out why the main character is where she is and why, and what will come from it. There is a very general plot in mind, but this needs to be way more fleshed out before I can even think about putting words to paper anywhere. Still excited about it though.
Today is going to be another lazy day. Breathing is horrible and my hands hurt. Whaaaaaa. Oh, speaking of whining, I redid Rarity's hair yesterday. For the life of me I can't figure out why Hasbro didn't even attempt to make their toys look like the cartoon characters they are modeled after. Well...no I guess I can. They probably didn't realize how huge this was going to blow up and how many adult fans there will be collecting and not letting sticky little fingers touching the "toys" they have. Anyway, my Rarity looks much better with her curls and spiral tail. Much more canon than...that hair she came with. Up next I attempt to make Sweetie Belle look something close to what she's supposed to. Should be interesting.
