there's no place like home.
I've found my way back to livejournal. It's me, by the way, clb04. I wanted to start the new year with a new blog, as I'm beginning a new chapter in my life. I tried a few different platforms - Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr. On none of them did I feel as comfortable as I do here, and most of all... You guys aren't there. You know who you are. I haven't written in months but when I do, it's for me. However, I find comfort and motivation in your support. And... I missed you. I was going to start fresh and make an entirely new LJ account, but... those entries and pictures are part of my life! Why shouldn't the entry of, say, my engagement story, be readily available? So instead, I got a new name that meant something to me, deleted "friends" and communities that were of no importance, and uploaded some new userpics. I didn't realize how much I've missed blogging until recently. Those of you I've been close with, I'm sorry I fell to the wayside. I was off-kilter for a few months. But I've had some big changes and realizations and I've started 2010 in a new frame of mind. One which includes blogging more often!
The biggest change since being away is that I've finally moved into my new house! Mike and I moved in the day after Christmas, which made for a very hectic holiday. I don't ever recommend choosing that day to move, but since I work in a school, I had several days off so it was convenient. We're all moved in, but not all unpacked. I'll post pictures once everything is in its place and looking nice.
There are also 105 days until our wedding, which is just insane. I don't know how it came up on me so fast. The realization of this hit me about a week and a half ago, and I had a little panic attack. I admit, I had hit a lull where I didn't plan anything for a long time, but we were also focusing on the house during this time, so wedding plans just went on the backburner I guess. I've been in full on wedding planning mode over the last week!
I plan on doing a couple entries in the near future about the house/move, and wedding plans, but for now I just wanted to write a "coming home" entry and let everyone know I was back. It feels good. :)
