I heart lists.
I know I've posted this before, but this was a topic of conversation today so I thought I'd post it again. And I lied, there are 16, not 14.
Carly's List of Dealbreakers in a Guy:
1. Must not have kids
2. Must not have any drug/alcohol problems
3. Must be a nonsmoker
4. Must have a car
5. Must have a job
6. Must have morals
7. Must like/be good with kids
8. Must be family-oriented
9. Must have goals and actively work at some rate to achieve them
10. Must have nice teeth
11. Must laugh often
12. Must have good manners
13. Must be a good kisser
14. Must have the ability to carry on an intelligent, grammatically correct, proper, two-sided conversation
15. Must have good personal hygiene
16. Must be taller than me
I made this list a couple years ago after getting frustrated with dating guys who were druggies, or had baby-mama drama, or used "do you want to watch a movie at my place?" as code for "come over and let me try to have sex with you instead of us going on a real date". Having standards makes a big difference. I highly recommend making a list of your own, if you haven't already - especially if you are having dating woes.
