Title: The 5 Times Myfanwy ignored the BBQ sauce rule and the 1 time she didn’t.

Summary: Myfanwy knows she should only eat things with her special sauce on them but sometimes temptation is too
delicious.
The 5 times she did:
1.She was hungry and left to her own devices in a very weird cave. There was no more of the tasty brown stuff the weird creature had given her before so she decided to strike out on her own. Something small caught her notice running across the floor. She swooped down and snapped it up. It tasted funny and made her throat itch so she spat it up. This place was odd!
2.She could smell it! The good brown food was tucked in her creature’s coverings. All she had to do was get it out and it would be hers. She ripped and slashed the coverings up and found her favorite treat. She greedily ate it then flew off to her nest to sleep. She fell into a peaceful doze but was woken by her creature screeching.
Maybe she should have left him some.
3.She knew she wasn’t supposed to eat things without her special sauce on it but the berries on the small plant looked so good! For the past few days she had only eaten the smelly meat with fins on it and wanted something new. She plucked them off the plant slowly so her creature wouldn’t notice what she was doing. They tasted good at the time but in the end made her sick. At least her creature sat with her and stroked her stomach every time it gurgled painfully. She was never eating those things again!
4.She had finally been allowed out of the weird cave to explore and fly free! She flew over green fields and streams that were so different from the skinny trees and big lakes she was used to. The air was a little cold but she squawked happily. She came to a field full of big animals that seemed interesting. She knew she wasn’t allowed to eat them so she chased them around and around in circles. Well that was until one fell over dead in fright, it was never polite to waste food.
5.She had been watching it for what seemed like forever. It sat near the ground and it looked a bit like the meat she was fed. It had sauce on it but she knew it wasn’t her sauce. She scanned the cave slowly; none of the creatures were around. She dived at the meat and ate in two rapid swallows. Just as she was about to eat more of the food that surround her, the creatures in the cave came back. Her creature laughed while the others yelled.
She was pleased.
The 1 time she didn’t:
1.Her sauce was all over the metal creature and she knew she was supposed to eat it, to tear it apart. She flew in at a tight angle until she was close enough to peck the sweet flesh off. She was enjoying her scraps until her creature began to make distressed noises. She hovered for a moment unsure if she was allowed this meal. He keened again and she knew there was something wrong. She backed off until the metal creature hit her beak painfully. She rushed in to attack. She would not eat the metal monster but she would protect her creature and their cave!
