Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.
1. Crafts - crafts have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom is a very craft person. She can tole paint like you wouldn't believe. I have an antique dresser she painted on that is BEAUTIFUL!!!! She also did/does decoupage, sewing, crocheting and lots of other stuff I am sure I am forgetting. She worked at a craft store in Ann Arbor for a few years. She always encouraged me to try anything I wanted to, still does. Because of her, I love to crochet, paint, and sew, and I am hoping to get into mosaics.
2. Drumming - not sure what it is about drumming, but I love it. I love listening and I love playing. I can, barely, play a bodhran. And, I have tried a doumbek, wish I had one. LOL I just love rhythm, and you get a lot of that with drums. :D
3. Gardening - Now, gardening, I get from my dad. He loves to grow things. Doesn't matter what it is. He loves to have a big garden and he will give most of it away. He hasn't been physically able to do it for a while. Even when we lived in a subdivision with a tiny yard, he always had a garden patch. Always. It took me a while to want to garden. But, when I became Pagan, I really got into gardening. You know, the natural thing. LOL But, now I love it. Just wish I had more time and space for it.
4. Writing - This is something I have been told I was good at since I was 9. I always got extra credit on my papers in school, even in college. In 4th grade, my short stories were read aloud in class. In 5th grade I got special recognition because I wrote on all of the explorers we were studying in history, instead of just one, as was the assignment. And, it goes on to getting a 100 for an independent study research/paper class for covering the topic so completely and clearly. Oddly, I get bored with it if I write on the same subject too much. But, I would love to be a novelist. Just have no idea where to start.
5. Dragons - Well, I am a scifi/fantasy fan. I love dragons. I really got into the Dragon Cave thing for a while. Not so much, anymore. But, every once in a while I will snag a few from the cave. :) I also love books about dragons. Books like those by Anne McCaffrey, etc. Dragons are cool. Oh, and I love the movie Reign of Fire!!!!!!!!
