Left the house this morning at 9:15, nobody was sleepy so I didn't crate the puppies but instead put the gate up to confine them to the downstairs. Got back home slightly more than four hours later, and to my immense surprise and delight, there were no piles or puddles or mass destruction. We let them out right away, and three very grateful canines ran to the grass and relieved themselves. They must have been too excited to see us to finish the job, because I found a small-ish wet spot about ten minutes later.
Still, I was thrilled with the progress. They really are wonderful people.
Also, think I must be PMS-ing. Although I no longer have menstrual bleeding, I do still experience the hormonal stuff since my ovaries were left intact. I have long since quit keeping track of my cycle, but I know I'm PMS-ing when I eat like I have today. For example, as I type, I am alternating Sugar Babies and Tostitos. And seriously contemplating pizza for supper.
Kevin has started his three-week break from school. This morning, Kevin, his friend Jesse, and I drove to the main campus of my college downtown, and voluteered stuffing envelopes for my honor society. We actually got a LOT done before Kevin decided to go nutty-koo-koo. After which, Jesse and I got the rest done.
And just because:
After we finished at the college, I took the boys to Ritter's Frozen Custard for a frozen dairy treat, then gave them each $2.25 and went to the dollar store nearby. I got some more goodies for Kevin's November pirate-themed birthday party. Jesse is going to sleep over tonight (hence the pizza!).
P.S. Was anyone as disappointed as I was to hear Haley Joel Osment got stopped for DUI a few weeks ago? For some reason, I expected better of him, something less typical. *sigh*
