BAND
heeyy. band started yesterday, and please, let me be the first to say, we are SO MUCH BETTER than last year. I actually have a section that LISTENS and gets along. the whole band, gets along. we get along with mr. turner and staff. its a COMPLETE turn around from last year. i love having basics (even if i do hate it when im doing it) because everyone gets a feel for whats going on. we got forwards, backwards, direction changes, and lateral slides under our belts. tomorrow we start box stuff. the clarinet/flute section has the first song, and Star Spangled Banner memorized, and tomorrow we get our second piece. im so excited to see where we go this year, and next. i really, really, really, have a great feeling about this year. even if these two weeks are hard, it will pay off. and our FIRST performance is the 24th of this month!!!!! ohman. we're going to be ready. i know it. we're going to be good. and NIGHTBEAT is sunday. OMGAHYESSS. im just in a great mood right now. YAY SOUTH POINTE!
