Summary : Kyuhyun has to deal with a stranger girl named Sungmin, who suddenly come to his life... and his apartment.
“Aish!” is the first word that escapes Sungmin’s mouth after she pull Kyuhyun inside his apartment. She covers her face with both hands in embarrassment. She can feel her heart beats faster than usual. But she doesn’t know the reason, whether it’s because she’s embarrassed being busted peeking, or because the close proximity of her face and Kyuhyun’s. Not to mention, her body was pressed to his, again for the second time since she lived there. She feels like crying right now because of embarrassment. And she whines incoherently now, still burying her face on her palms.
On the other hand, after come in Kyuhyun is still dazed by the accident, remembering Sungmin’s face right in front of his face. He just stares blankly at the floor, spacing out.Why does my heart beat faster so randomly now? What the hell am i thinking about? But seriously, how do i have to feel to be under her after watching people making out? I am only a normal guy. And she has beautiful eyes that can capture anyone’s gaze. And her lips are so... Aish! No, no, Kyuhyun. You are not some kind of pervert.
Kyuhyun shakes his head frantically to get that out of his mind. He curses silently as he thinks he hear a mumble “I’m sorry” from Sungmin. But he can careless now as he’s still confused about what he’s feeling now. He’s still in his own world when he sits again on the couch, running his hands to his hair. He continues to think about the fact that Hyukjae is gay. Until he comes into a conclusion that very amusing to him. He starts to smirk, and then giggles silently.
Sungmin seems notice that Kyuhyun is like holding back his laughter. Seriously, what is he thinking? Is there anything funny to be laughed at? He’s impossible.
“Hey, why are you laughing? What are you laughing at?” Sungmin place her right hand on her waist in annoyance, while Kyuhyun’s still fighting to hold back his laughter.
“Nothing~ It’s just... I told you just now, right? ‘Be careful’. You.. don’t know anything about him. He actually is gay.” He emphasize the words ‘Be careful’ and ‘gay’.
“But still, you can’t conclude him as a bad guy. What does ‘being gay’ have to do with ‘bad guy’? How come you jump into a conclusion like that?! Because we know that the premise ‘Gay is bad guy’ is incorrect. So, you can’t state that ‘Hyukjae is a bad guy’. It’s invalid!” She’s getting impatient now, while it’s Kyuhyun’s turn to keep calm.
“Okay, okay, you’re talking too far, you know? I didn’t mean to break the logic law. Duh! You think i know nothing about how logic works?!” Kyuhyun smiles amusedly, seeing her sudden outburst. Then they remain silent.
Sungmin tries to calm herself, and register what was just happening. Her mind is flying to the incident in a hallway. Is Hyukjae really a gay? Is that guy his boyfriend? You should have told me, Hyuk!
Kyuhyun’s back to his laptop. But his mind is occupied by the scene in the hallway. He finally figured out some things. Hyukjae is gay. It means Hyukjae isn’t interested in Sungmin. And it also means that Hyukjae won’t ever snatch Sungmin from him. Wait! What was just i thinking? So, you’re happy that Sungmin and Hyukjae won’t be together, Kyuhyun? Why are you thinking like that? Are you some kind of evil who can’t see other people’s happiness? But... She doesn’t like Hyukjae, does she?
Their thoughts are suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Kyu! Min!” They barely hear a voice from outside the door, then immediately turning their head to its source. Sungmin catches the doorknob to open it, revealing the smiling-brightly-Ryeowook.
“Hi, sweeties!” Ryeowook greets cheerfully to both of Sungmin and Kyuhyun. And she come in just like that, without permission. She isn’t a stranger after all. Then she sits down beside Kyuhyun.
“I have something to tell you guys.” She says casually, and pauses for a second, gazing at the two. “Let’s go to Lotte World this Saturday!” she burst out suddenly, making Kyuhyun slightly jump from his seat.
“What?! I thought there’s something important you wanted us to know! And you mean, you and Yesung-hyung will go to the Lotte World, right? So...?” Kyuhyun doesn’t want to admit that he knows actually Ryeowook ask them to come as well. So, he emphasize ‘you’ and ‘Yesung-hyung’, only. And Sungmin is just... surprised on her position.
“Tch, you’re not a good actor, Kyu. Don’t pretend that you’re deaf or dense. Or... are you actually? I said ‘Let’s go to Lotte World’, meaning ‘You’, Kyuhyun and Sungmin,” She points directly to the two of them firmly. “Will come along with me and Yesung there. Is that clear?” Sungmin’s jaw drops now, while Kyuhyun’s sighing loudly.
“Noona... you do know i have some works to do, even on the weekends. I can’t go, Noona!” He’s back to his laptop, leaving Ryeowook widens her eyes in annoyance. In fact, Kyuhyun just try to escape himself from accompanying Sungmin as Ryeowook will be with Yesung all the time. Yes, he knows that Ryeowook definitely ask him to keep Sungmin company. What is he supposed to do with her anyway?
“Sungmin... how about you, dear? You will come with us, won’t you?” Ryeowook smiles hopefully at the younger girl, making her startled.
“I... I think i...” She trails off, scratching her scalp unnecessarily, doesn’t know how to answer it. She actually feel happy can be outside and having fun again. But she also feel something strange about Kyuhyun’s attitude. She feel bad about him, and don’t want to be his burden at the same time.
“Yay! You will come, Min!” Ryeowook exclaims suddenly. She thinks she can feel what Sungmin feel right now. But she just want to entertain her with hanging out somewhere.
“What?! She didn’t even say a word, Noona...” Kyuhyun protests, earning a death glare from Ryeowook. Then she whispers to him, “You! Come with me now!” She’s trying hard to not let Sungmin to hear it. She adds to Sungmin, “Excuse me, Min, i have to borrow Kyuhyun for awhile.” she smiles and drags Kyuhyun to the kitchen.
Sungmin’s eyes follow them until they disappear to the kitchen. She plasters her face with a questioning look. What is Ryeowook-unnie trying to do? What is her plan? She just shrug it off.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Kyuhyun tries to pry Ryeowook’s tight grip. “Noona, what are you doing? Let go!” He whispers loudly. Ryeowook lets go of his wrist after she’s sure that they are out of Sungmin’s sight.
“Listen. I know you’re not that busy, Kyu. Sometimes you just waste your time in your friend’s place or walk around randomly taking a lot of pictures on Saturday. Don’t act like i don’t know anything, Kyuhyun!” Ryeowook nags firmly in a loud whisper, and adds the last sentence quickly when she knows Kyuhyun’s going to protest. Kyuhyun can only sigh and roll his eyes. She knows me so well.
“But I’m usually taking a photoshoot for magazine on the weekend.” He tries to defend himself, but his tone betrays him. Fail, Kyuhyun. You don’t have any schedule for photoshoot on this weekend. Repeat that, Kyuhyun. It means on Saturday and Sunday you are off. What are you going to do, eh? Spend time in your flat only with... Sungmin? Isn’t it awkward?
“Ha! I can sense that you don’t have the schedule on this weekend. You have no choice, Kyu. You’re going to come with me and Yesung. And i don’t want Sungmin to be alone. You promised me to take good care of her.” Did i? Kyuhyun thinks, widening his eyes.
“Tch. Fine, i’ll go with you. You sound like my mother.” He looks away.
“Hey, I can hear you! But... of course i’m here as a subtitute of your mother. I’m also taking care of you, if you don’t remember.”
“Yeah, yeah,. Thanks, Noona...” He says halfheartedly, earning a slight punch on his shoulder from Ryeowook.
So, they are back to the living room. Kyuhyun displays a flat face and come back to his own world, his laptop. Ryeowook announces Sungmin about their so-called “double date” (What?! Double date? Sungmin thinks), telling her that she will lend her her clothes for the "date” on the day after tomorrow.

The next day in the afternoon, Hyukjae finds himself in front of Kyuhyun’s door, expecting to see Sungmin.
“Hyukjae?” She says in surprise, smiling. Sungmin welcome him nicely as usual, but Hyukjae is embarrassed right now, and feeling bad. He’s just too scared that his bestfriend will be disgusted of him being a gay.
“Awww, Hyuk, don’t frown...” Sungmin assures him, taking him into a warm hug. She can sense how Hyukjae feel right now. And she just want him to know that she’s fine with whatever his choices are.
“His name is Lee Donghae.” Hyukjae informs her after they get in and sit down. “Maybe you don’t know him, but he’s actually a rookie star. I used to work with him, for his choreography. But i quit working with him when he started flirting with me.” He laughs, remembering those moments. How silly it was.
”He said he likes me so many times, but i always ignored him. Well, actually i tried to ignore him, because i thought this is so wrong. But he never gave up. He always texted me a sweet words... I didn’t even know why and how. I just started to miss his text message when he stopped doing it. I miss him actually. Until yesterday, i encouraged myself to text him, asking how he’s been doing. But he replied me with asking my address instead. Yeah, the next thing i know he was knocking on my door. And you already know what happened next.” He lets out a long sigh after finishing his story.
“I’m happy you’re being honest to me. You’re still my bestfriend however you are, Hyuk. So, you two are officially together now?” Sungmin is indeed a caring person after all. Hyukjae replies with a nod and smile.
“Thanks, Min. But you know what? I’ve thought that i like you.” He confess, looking at his fingers. Sungmin can only stare at him in shock. She never expect this. What is this supposed to mean?
“What..? What does it mean, Hyuk..?” She asks him carefully. But he chuckles.
“Relax, i don’t like you that way. But, yeah... I admit that i’ve thought that i like you. You are so beautiful and kind girl. Who wouldn’t like you? But then i realized, as much as i like you, i think i don’t want to have you, you know... as a girlfriend. I think i prefer you to be my best friend, because i don’t want to lose you. Eventhough we just met not more than two weeks, i know that you are so precious that i can’t lose you and disappoint you.” He explains slowly, making Sungmin in the edge of crying now.
She was listening every word he said and she’s touched. She doesn’t know whether she deserve it or not, but it seems like everyone, Hyukjae, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and even Yesung here can accept and welcome her very well, and really care about her. “Awwh, Hyuk... I’m so happy to have you as my bestfriend. I feel like we already know each other for a long time. I don’t know what to say, you all are so good to me...”.
“You deserve our love, Min. Because you are so lovely and nice girl, despite of being the daughter of successful business man. I never think of you as a rich girl, because you don’t act like one. Don’t you realize that you are so precious? Siwon should know that he's stupid for making you wasted.” Hyukjae assures her, as the real tears are finally rolling down on Sungmin’s cheeks. Hyukjae immediately hug her lovingly.
“No~ don’t cry, Min...” Sungmin can’t help but feeling touched and warm inside. Hyukjae is just there, hugging her while caressing her back and her silky long black hair in silence.
“So... How about you and Kyuhyun?” Hyukjae suddenly ask her teasingly. Sungmin immediately let go of the hug and pout, but not before she pinch his arm.

That evening when Kyuhyun already home, he informs Sungmin in the middle of eating dinner.
“You still remember about my friend who owns the coffee shop?” Sungmin nod at him. “Well, he just told me that you can start working there on Monday. Is that okay with you?” She widens her eyes and stop eating as she hear it.
“Really? You mean this Monday? Thanks, Kyuhyun-sshi. I would love to. Tell him i’m really thankful.” She says in wide smile.
That night, both of Kyuhyun and Sungmin can’t sleep properly, because the day is coming. The day that they are going to have fun at Lotte World with Ryeowook and Yesung. The day that Ryeowook call as ‘the double date’. Kyuhyun decided to get back to his laptop, playing starcraft of course. But inside, he can’t wait for it. He also think about what to wear, to make him comfortable in the last days of summer. He thinks about what’s going to happen tomorrow. He anticipate it, smiling at himself.
Meanwhile, Sungmin keep staring at the ceiling on her bed. She keep thinking about tomorrow when she can have fun with her new friends. She thinks about what kind of clothes that Ryeowook will lend her, and what will happen there. She definitely can’t wait for it.

A/N: Riyu is here again!! I miss you all... as from now on, i think i plan to at least updating new chapter once per two weeks. So, be more patient waiting for me. Mianhae... I want to greet my silent readers, I love you no matter what.
