I don't think you're unpatriotic. I think you see we made a mistake going into this mess. I think a lot of people are beginning to see this. I voted for Bush because I did and do see him as the lesser of evils, but I am disappointed. Not just about the war, but about his failure to take a harder stance to stop this insane flood of illegal aliens coming to America. Bush is THE ONE who could have done something about immigration, he will not face reelection and stands to lose nothing.
But I do also fear a "anything but" vote. I mean, putting a Harlem liberal in charge of one of the most powerful committees in goverment, The House Ways and Means Committee? Handing the Speaker of the House over to a San Fransico liberal? Hillary herself voted in support of the invasion of Iraq. Over went the troops, then she says "I've changed my mind". Well, you can't just pull the troops out then and leave with the epicenter of the worlds oil supply in chaos and civil war. What is begun for whatever reasons must be finished.
I agree with you Bush has to be retired and we need to get out of Iraq as soon as possible, but my fear of handing our goverment over to Socialism grounds me.
George Bush should not have taken action against Iraq without unilateral UN support and participation. Furthermore his fathers legacy makes it look like a vendetta whether it actually is or not. He is tainting the Republican party with his actions. Still, there have been terrorist attacks in Spain, Britian, etc, etc. Not here.
