It's odd, the new Mars Volta album uses two names--Miranda and Cassandra--I have used quite frequently in my past writing. I use Cassandra for the legend attached to the name (the seer of Troy) but I'm not sure why Miranda.
I wish I had the right surroundings in which to listen to this album. A traditional brothel in red velvet would be nice, for example. It makes me want to fuck a dark beauty. Catherine Zeta-Jones would do well, dressed as in her role for Zorro. I would need some candles and a book of matches to go with it, some black silk scarves thin like veiling, and some very sharp razor blades. I would need three long-stemmed roses in full bloom, and one still tightly budded. I would...
