Ed and Hank

Part 3 of... Oh baby, baby it's a wild world...

Catch-up: When we last left Ed and Hank they had finished with the closing of Ed's pa's house. (As usual, nothing much happened.) This catches up with them the day after the closing...

Disclaimer: Hank told their story to Annie Proulx. Jack and Ennis are all hers. Ed and Hank ( Read more... )

More of Yellowstone to come... myeyesaintblue October 12 2010, 16:13:05 UTC
There's still another day at Yellowstone (and a little beyond Yellowstone) for Hank to post. He wanted to post them together but he won't be able to get to the next part for a while 'cause they're leaving in a few days to go camping again for a couple of weeks, so he thought he might as well post this part before they take off.

Glad Ed and Hank made you laugh! (I have a feeling Hank’s going to tell Ed you think he’s cute just to watch him turn a real pretty shade of red.)

Glad you enjoyed tagging along on their trip! Hank's got a real long bucket list too, but he knows he's lucky to have this kind of stuff relatively nearby considering how hard it is to get Ed to go anywhere.

Wonderful to have you back and share an exciting trip.
My husband and I went just last year and it was very enjoyable not overly crowded. We did see a bear, that was a bit scary, it crossed the road and everyone stopped and foolishly got out of their cars to get a better look, it was a young cub and the noises it made, I bet his mama wasn't far away.We were able to get around and keep going.
My hubby loves to take pictures I bet he has as many as Hank.
Hank is a great guide, hasn't failed yet to make his and Eds trip enjoyable, even if Ed crumbled a bit, I bet he loved each day as long as Hank was beside him.
I enjoy this immensely, its like getting a postcard from home each time I see you post.
Thank you, have a great day.
Love,
Torry

I’m glad you had a good time and that it wasn’t overcrowded when you went to Yellowstone! Ed’s always hated crowds and Hank’s just glad he managed to figure out a few ways to get around them.

I can’t believe people would get out of their cars with a bear cub around, ‘cause you know mom most likely wasn’t far away at all. (Well, yes I can believe it, but they sure shouldn’t have done it.)

And since your husband loves to take pictures that's gotta give you some idea of just how many pictures Hank has/takes(!) That wasn’t always the case though, Hank just started taking a lot of pictures after Iris gave them her old digital camera a few years ago. (If Ed had only known what he was in for he probably would have told Iris to throw that camera out instead of giving it to Hank. :=) ) Glad you enjoyed their trip!

lovely. I am glad they got away to Yellowstone. AND are following what the signs say. I can't believe those people going so close to that bison.

glad to see this story back

Yeah, those are the kind of signs Hank definitely pays attention to. And I think there’s something about being in a national park that makes people think nothing will hurt them, although it sure as hell can and will. Glad you enjoyed their trip!
