Ed and Hank

Part 3: He needs wide open spaces!

Note: This was posted in a rush again, so if there's a ton of typos or spacing errors, (LJ is still messing with Hank's spacing), Hank apologizes in advance. Disclaimer: Hank told their story to Annie Proulx. Jack and Ennis are all hers. Ed and Hank belong only to each other. Rating: G $$: Nope ( Read more... )

All the pictures were taken by Ed or Hank on their March camping trip except for the ones up on the 'frying pan' trail - they were taken a couple of years ago in May.

(Hank's camera batteries ran down once they got up there and he forgot to take the fresh batteries out of the charger and put them in the camera case and Ed wouldn't go back to the truck to get 'em.)

You guys are a hoot, you know that? Don't feel bad, Hank, I've NEVER been able to do cartwheels!

(We might be headed down to Nashville in the fall... promised the kid that after she graduates, we'll go visit her boyfriend...if we tour Graceland, I'll be sure to take pictures)

Much love to my favorite 'uncles' and 'cousin'!

Hank does have to admit that his cartwheels are purty darn pathetic.

I sure hope you tour Graceland if you go to Tennessee! And we'd LOVE to see the pictures! (Hank doesn't know if he'll ever manage to get Ed any further east than Chicago. But he's sure gonna try.)

Love to all there!

We all sure do miss Dusty Springfield too, but we're glad we still have her music.

And Hank's not sure if Ed will ever want to see his dad again. (Hank's pretty sure he doesn't know close to the whole story and probably never will, but Ed seems to have made his peace with it.)

I love your everything about your guys especially their pictures :)
Now that's an idea-A campaign to make divorce illegal. Talk about the craziness that would cause.

So glad you enjoyed Ed and Hank's camping trip! And yeah, Hank thinks a campaign to make divorce illegal just might open some people's eyes to the injustice of voting on other people's rights and not allowing gay people to marry.

LOL! I would have paid good money to see Ed and Hank do cartwheels on the side of the road! :D Love those two crazy dumbasses. I`m glad no one got injured, I got kind of worried there for a second. I'm not saying the guys are old, but you know, they aren't spring chickens either. :) What beautiful pictures! Especially the cherry trees.

The Supreme Court decision on Proposition 8 is so disapointing. And I agree with Hank, it makes no sense to let the majority vote on the civil rights of the minority. I`m glad we have equal rights in Canada, it`s something I`m very proud of. I know gay people who are married, they`re building a life together, they are in love and happy. Why the hell should that bother me? Why would I want them to have less rights than me? There are a lot of stupid and ignorant people in this world...

If Hank had known Ed could cartwheel he would have payed good money to see that years ago. Don't worry though, there will probably be no more cartwheelin'. (Hank can't even though he thought and could and Ed just did it to prove he could.)

And YAY for Canada! I just wish more people in this country would come to their senses about gay marriage.
