'Blue, 'Blue, 'Blue...

I was so anti-disco when the Hustle was popular that I will confess I have NEVER danced it.

And now, I gotta.

Fer shame, Hank, fer puttin' her up to this.

Okay, starts with Travolta, right?

Hey J/L/D,
LOL Yep. Travolta. ;D I have to admit, like Hank, I'd never done the Hustle either. (Too old... 'm old, Laly.) And Iris just has a soft spot in her heart for it because she was so young at the time. Please forgive us all...

But Ed, get over yourself!! We want the sex :).

Thanks! And I'm sure Ed will get over himself... :)
I never knew the hustle, and I'm afraid I still haven't learned it. Ed's got it down pretty good though.

Shhhhh... put your money away. Don't tell Ed I said this, but all you have to do is give Ed a beer or two and put the music on and he'll do the Hustle without even being asked. (I don't really even think you need the beer.) :)

Well in Erie pa you got me dancing on a Sunday night and oh what fun I loved the Hustle and well so many more dances. My mother taught me to do the stroll I cannot find that on youtube but oh what fun we are having this was a really great chapter and with all the laughing you are causing I don't think we will have to worry about any epitaphs real soonn since laughing is defenitly a healing agent and a wonderful thing to have in our lives. I know the trip is for the two of you to find each other and to see the country but heck by a laptop and keep a journal for us so we can all love and laugh along with you. Joe

Hey Joe, Glad Ed and Hank got you dancin' and laughin'. And yeah, I seriously doubt Ed and Hank will need to decide on an epitath any time soon. Luckily, Iris brought her old laptop for Ed and Hank to use, and Hank would love to be able to send ya'll a postcard every now and again.

Go go go! Iris, Ed, Hank!

Never knew how to do the Hustle, but there was this one Russian peasant dance when we were active in the SCA that worked pretty good to disco music -- not the troika, the other one.

Gotta say, 'blue, there's a lotta LURVE in these updates, and THAT's the way, uh-huh, we LIKE it, uh-huh uh-huh!

*tries a shimmy, OUCH! Need two Good feet, that's for sure!*

How do I manage to miss my guys, even when I'm lookin for 'em? Put it down to CRAFT. A serious problem in women of a certain age, like me.:-(

I really like that girl. Always loved singing and dancing, though I never got into disco. It's good for the soul to sing and dance, and the body, too. Gotta say, though, I'd missed that version of the quotation; now I have this image of Mark Twain in his white suit, doing the Hustle, and I'm cackling like a witch on speed. Wasn't drinkin anything when I read your chapter, or I might have done a spit-take myself.:-)

I couldn't decide if Iris was serious or sarcastic when she said: “Oh my God… Maybe that’s it. Falling for a guy like dad. How could I not see that? Well that just took care of it for me. Crush over. And now I definitely need some therapy.” Given Hank's response, I guess she said it seriously, but I would have been sarcastic; wouldn't she have had that thought a long time ago? It's Freud 101, after all. But I gotta agree with Hank: nothing wrong with falling for a guy like ( ... )
