"....."

"....."

"....."

"RUTH??!??" :wiping away tears:

Then- "Iris turned to Hank, “Sorry, Hank. Didn’t mean to cause you any trouble.” Iris stood up and stretched and yawned, “Well… I think I’ve done just about enough for one night. I’m going to turn in early... get a good night’s rest before I start in on you two again in the morning.”

"....!!!!"

Oh, 'Blue, you dumbass, I love you!

::still laughing::

You blindsided me with this one, 'Blue. I didn't see Iris reading slash..LOL!! Much less Aunt Ruth!

I showed my friends page to my son's girlfriend last night, we were talking about sites we like that may embarrass others, and she turned really red at this one but seemed to approve after she got over it.

So why WOULDN'T Iris be reading??? Heck, probably Heath and Jake do as well. After all, they got to play Ed n'Hank in the movie. :grin:

Gonna have to start callin YOU "Sunshine."

::hugs::

Hey Laly,

If I have a choice, I think 'dumbass' suits me much better than 'Sunshine'. ;D

Love that you showed BrokebackSlash to you're son's girlfriend... LOL! You are wicked! Happy to hear that she seemed to approve after she got over it.

Glad it made you laugh too!

Mornin'.

Have I told you lately how much I like this story? Iris is a pistol, and the guys are great. Can just see Ed have apoplexy over Iris reading the story; Jack was smart enough to have Ed bring that glass of ice, for Ed when he found out. Great dialog, as usual. Glad Iris read it; glad I read it. Will be even more glad reading more.

Thanks again.

Evenin'.

Thanks! Have I told you lately that I'm glad you're reading it too? I'm glad you're reading it. And I'm glad you're enjoying Iris' visit.

Alas, poor Ed. ;D But he seems to be mostly recovered (for now).

Thanks Ellen!
Glad you're still enjoying Iris' visit. Poor Ed... He really is dragged a lot of places against his will. Although I'll bet even he'd have to admit that he usually likes where he ends up once he gets there.

LOL! This was great, especially Ed and his "....." 's form of speech. Heeeeee! That was just totally accurate; I know a lot of guys who communicate that way. [G] And before I forget, here are some $$ for Hank's road trip fund. :)

Hey there,
Glad it made you laugh! And the $$ for the road trip is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Since Ed started his own church way back it may be tax deductible. ;D

oh this was funny. Well you know Iris was gonna figure this out sooner or later. And it's about time she knew about her dad and Hank.

I love that inscription on the watched. those two dumbasses.

How old are they in your story?

Hey there!

Glad you liked it!

Luckily, Iris has known about Ed and Hank for a long, long time. How she found out will be in the 4th part. Probably should have started with it but it didn't come up 'til later in the visit. (Although she was quite surprised to find their story online.)

Due to certain age sensitivies, (I won't mention name(s)), all years have been given in "ish" or "-odd" or "-something", but the dates roughly coincide with Jack and Ennis. Ed and Hank are sixty-something and Iris is forty-something.

P.S. If you'd like to read the whole story on the watches it was way back in chapter 6: http://myeyesaintblue.livejournal.com/2024.html
