2 Years Have Seemed Endless

a week until i'm back, side by side, with my favorite ocean, the atlantic, in my favorite place, new smyrna beach, florida. i cannot wait to spend evenings swinging in bethune park, sipping 40s, scanning the bay for manatees and porpoises. i cannot wait to collapse in the night with salt in my tangled hair after days of swimming. when we need a ( Read more... )

i would love to travel one day and see as much as i can before i die. i would love to see the hustle and bustle of new york. i would love to feel the feeling of leaving this country i was born into as the ship floats away from the harbor. i would love to experience anything. i am at a loss when it comes to the subject of travel. i have never known anything except for the urban chicago and the as a whole rural arkansas.

i have been very fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit in my life so far, but it's never really enough. i love to go other places, see other way. i love urban chicago. i go there quite a bit to visit my aunt and uncle. while i do love to travel, i love arkansas too. it has it's charms, and i could actually go on forever about how much i like it, truthfully.

yeah, i know that arkansas has its own good thing going. i do, however, wish that i was not poor as hell so that i could see some other places. i love to write stuff, but i wish i had a gaggle of different sceneries inside of my head. i guess it's all just a simple matter of money. i don't have money, so i don't have travel. the only way that someone like me can travel is if i acquire a career and get myself some money. people who were born and raised like me join the navy if they wanna travel because in their simple little minds there is no other way to do that. that sucks the big. what's your favorite place to visit in chicago? what's your favorite place in arkansas?

my favorite place to visit in chicago is probably chinatown. i like colorful pastries, waving cats, soft tea pots, and bright red. my favorite place in arkansas? mmmm, that's really a tough question. probably my home town, pocahontas. it's sad and sweet. one of my recent favorite places is alton, illinois and the grafton area. amazingly beautiful!!! my all time favorite never to be replaced place is new smyrna beach, florida and saint augustine. my favorite place i've been to out of the country would be brussels, belgium.

my favorite place in chicago is the metro by far. 'if those walls could talk' is my feeling that i get when i step into that place to see a show. the graffiti that is on the walls, the people that are all there for the excitement. i loved to see the different walks of life: the hard rock who looked you dead in the eye upon passing, the raver-type kids with that look in their dilated eyes, and the beautiful girls that awaited to see the guy who probably hated half of them. i mean the sage francis show. that was the last show i saw at the metro, and i have to say that the crowd i was with made me feel great. either it was them, or it was the pills. idunno. arkansas, ah , arkansas. the first thing that i think of is hicks creek on a warm summer day. hicks creek rested closely to the trailer park and in the summer my friends and i would all gather down there to smoke reefers and chase girls. i made out with a girl on the rock. we laid gently down on the warm rock. it was fun. i love the woods and climbing the rocks too. you write strange ( ... )

i like that you told me "i write strange". i like honesty, and i like "strange" even better. i had quite a bit of a novel going once, and i lost it on my computer (like an idiot had no backup). i have no patience for writing poetry, although i have several poems published in local literary magazines. i haven't listened to aesop rock, but i will.
