There are certain times when Hankyung becomes scared of the person he admires and loves the most.
These times are far and few in between, often just appearing out of the blue.
He is not scared when Heechul is throwing one of his fits, eyes narrowed and demanding, posture rigid and angry. Neither is he frightened when Heechul's 'evil' side appears, devilish smirk on the pretty face while thinking of a plan to prank one of their dongsaengs.
On the contrary, Hankyung is more prone to be subjected to these 'panic attacks', as he had termed them, during live shows, variety show appearances, and concerts. Because, more often than not, it is during these times that Heechul shines so brightly, Hankyung has to cover his eyes lest he be blinded.
To anybody with eyes, Heechul is more than just beautiful.
With delicate features and a slight build, the younger man has always believed that if he ever held Heechul too tight, the other would surely break. But he was also aware that behind that seemingly fragile appearance, Heechul harbored a personality so loud, so obnoxious, and so annoyingly arrogant that Hankyung sometimes questions himself why he had ever fallen for someone as maddening as Kim Heechul.
But that question, as well as all other doubts, is thrown away whenever Heechul snuggles up to him at night, relaxing after a long day of schedules, or when the older man refuses to eat anything but Hankyung's homemade dishes. It is during such times as these that Hankyung isn't scared nor overwhelmed by Heechul's glow. It is then that instead of being intimidated by the light Heechul gives off, he partakes of that light.
Much like how the moon's soft glow depends on the bright, blinding rays of the sun.
