The movie was a flop compared to the book. The poor character building lead to an anti-climatic ending and an unfulfilled feeling. The CG Effects were great(!) and the costume design was perfect, but I felt that the movie didn't work for the book. Things were added and that whole Cho and Harry kissing scene? Come on, they didn't have to go all it. No wonder the poor girl was nervous about filming that!
Voldie Dumbledore, Umbridge, and Luna were so underdeveloped, I didn't know what point it was to have them in the movie. Neville had some good shots in there, but his babbling made no scene about his parents from lack of background.
Along with my favourite part when the twins leave? I am so disappointed in Mrs. Rowling. Boom, some fireworks and the whole thing is done. There was no reasoning behind it, and the only way one would know why they left was because the book was read. If one did not read the book prior to watching the film, it would be though that they just wanted to make a fuss during the OWLS, since they say something along the lines of having enough and wanting to liven something up.
Overall, the movies was sad, and I will stay with the books for now.
