Hello! Welcome to My Dog Tales~
As you have probably guessed, this internet journal is focused on my future dog. She is currently a two week old whippet puppy in the care of her mother. While I would rather be snuggling her, I simply must wait until she is able to leave her mother and the breeder. Thus, my incessant blabbing. Since I don't actually HAVE this dog yet I have been unable to shut up about her. My excitement and eagerness has overwhelmed my brain so much to the point where I can't even sleep at night.
Yes. I am serious.
So, in order to stop annoying my boyfriend and friends, I thought, "Hey! What if I just blabbed randomly into the interwebz? That will satisfy everyone's needs. I can talk all I want, and my loved ones won't have to put up with my endless puppy chatter. Sounds great!"
Lucky you, internet! You have one more pointless blog taking up your bandwidth!
In any case, I plan on TRYING to keep up this blog (my other attempts at blogging fell by the wayside) so I can track my progress and see the victories and defeats with clearer perception.
It is my goal to create a good canine citizen. I want a dog that will trust me and I want to trust her. I want a companion... I want a friend. I know that sounds lame, but human beings can sometimes be... well... less than desirable. I want to be able to feel that mythical bond between man and beast. At this point in my life, I can honestly say I don't know what that is. And I want to know!
So that is it. I've bared my soul in terms of my desires that might come to be from this experience. On with the pictures!
These are the six puppies photographed the day after they were born.
Since there are two brindle/white female puppies in this litter I am unsure as to which one the breeder has designated to be mine. I am hoping that I can choose between them when I go to visit them when they turn around five weeks old. However, I would be happy with either one. They are both adorable~
Look how big they've grown! This is at two weeks old.
They're huge now! Well, in comparison, anyway. I am glad they are all healthy and plump. Soon their eyes and ears will be open and functioning. I am so excited to see pictures of them wobbling around everywhere. Oh gosh I know when I go to visit I will just want to take her home with me! No no.... must wait for her to be ten weeks... must... wait.
That's all the updates I have so far.
