(no subject)
Just got off the phone with Caroline, I'm still at work. She's goin' out tonight with her girls from work, and I'm going out to meet my buddy Doug at a bar. He's watching the Leaf game at some sporto bar. I don't follow hockey but I know enough to navigate through a 3 hour game. I've already missed an hour, 'cause I'm at work still. Watch me weep. I'm going more to see Douggers anyhow.
I wanted to get to Stainless tonight to pick up new jewelry but they just closed so I'll pop by on Sunday instead. Stretching my ears and tongue, and replacing my lip rings.
Going home to Simcoe tomorrow morning. I was just there for wednesday night and most of thursday. I had my driving test to get my full G license and passed. Yay for that! It was a big stress for me, but now that it's out of the way I'm quite happy.
I'm going home to spend time with my family, as my little sister (who's disabled) is rather sick and I need to be there. She's having seizures every day even though they've changed her medication again. Most of them are focal seizures but she has the occasional grand mal seizure. No amount of Ativan seems to stop them, we just have to hold her down and ride them out. When she has a grand mal we head to the hospital where they have oxygen on hand and such. So it's scary times for my family. She was diagnosed when she was born with a massive brain tumour and tuberous sclerosis. She's battled against them her whole life. She's 17 now and when she was diagnosed they said she had less than a year. So she's literally the strongest person I'll ever know. She fights unimaginable battles every day inside her skull.
Anyways, that's about all that's going on. I can't wait for Caroline to come home next weekend, it'll be a short visit before she goes back, but I really need to see her.
I hope all you kids out there are doing well. My New Year sucks ass so far, hope yours is better.
