Fri 11th
OMgosh what a weekend it was! let me tell you all about it friends
I didnt have school friday so it was pretty much wake up at 10 take a shower put on clothes pack bag into car go by wesminster to talk to bruce (my old lunchroom cook guy) then I went up stairs to see my favorite history teacher from my middle school days but the champ wasnt there! No Dr. C was nowhere to be found.
So (buttons) Sorry inside joke...So I went up to FCWC's old building to see what i was getting into, I sign in @ the desk and got my t shirt for winterfest! (By the way thats where I was all weekend, winterfest with the FCWC Youth group) So I stood leaned up by the wall listening to the atticus collection CD (It sucks) Looking at all the people walk by waiting for David jones to pop up somewhere amongst the crowd b/c he was the only person i knew before Friday! he finally showed up and we went down into the lower halls of the old church where they were serving Pizza and sodas of your choice. I got a sprite but no pizza. I sat down leaned up against the wall listening to Showbread drinking my sprite contining to look at all the people I didnt know! A kid sat down next to me... over heard what I was listening to (bc my speakers were really loud)
Side Note:
Showbread is a band that must be listened
to at high volumes! Otherwise youll
never get the full affect of their monsterouse
crazy drum beats, disstorted riffs,
and crazy passion for the undefined
self satisfying
God fearing
RAW ROCK
they have so succesfully created!
So the kid nudged me on the shoulder and asked "what are you listening to"
I looked over and said "Oh this is showbread you want to listen?"
I let him listen to All smokers and children will be cast down & Mouth Like a magazine
He seemed to appreciate There style so I told him to go buy the cd or I would slit his throught!
His name was Cody and we pretty much hung out with each other the whole trip!
Me and cody sat behind David and Davids friend Luke on the ride to tennessee. We watched Hidalgo (Lame) and sharks tale (not as lame,... but getting there) on the bus. Soon we got to the arena place where Winterfest took place!
There at the service was over 20,000 kids lifting up praise to the Lord! I was so excited, Pastor Jenston Franklin spoke on the topic of "Image Breaker" He did an outstanding job! Props to you Pastor!!!
All the services were mind blowing and they truly inspired me to spend more time with God in my everyday routine! I started reading a book called The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson (also wrote: Prayer of Jabez)
its super good and I recommend it!
When the service was over and we were all waiting at the arena to regroup and head for the bus, I met Robby Hes super cool and like the same kinda music I do so we talked all the way back to the buses and I sang and screamed some of showbreads stuff for him lol (I know you wanted to join in Robby) Once we got to the Hotel I met the guy Id be rooming with for the weekend His name was bobby. He was tall with a limp fro and his skin was a very dark black! I felt very intimidated standing there next to this tall black guy...
I hesitated to talk to him very much. Once we got to the room i poped the question... "Do you like Hardcore?" Bobby was Like "Yeah" Then I asked..."do you like rap" Bobby said "No I dont like the stuff"
I continued with "Your the coolest black person I have ever met"
Side Note:
nothing at all against Blacks
Its just very rare to find someone whos
black that dosnt like rap
and better yet puts HXC down instead!

Bobby and I were super hungry so we ordered Pizza and then soon after the Pizza was shredded down we went to bed!
Bobby snores like a frikin Motor so I made some earplugs out of tissue paper and then tried really hard to fall asleep...
Sat 12th
Woke up took first shower and got dressed and ready while the other guys (Bobby and the room leader John) got showered up and stuff. We went down to the busses were I reunited with Cody and listened to Blindside all the was to eat breakfest at mc D's (Not a big fan of the big breakfest) That Morning at McD's I sat with Derrik and Scooter who were both leaders! They were really cool and really funny. I told Derrik I was gonna call him DD for the rest of the weekend b/c those were his initials. (and i did) After Breakfest we went to the spped park where we did all kind of stuff like

· walk over to the outlet store and look at the music shop for goodmusic
· play the star wars arcade game
· play in the kiddy tubes and go down the slide b/c your claustrophobic
· Walk over and ask the guy if we could ride the kiddy coaster
· Take pictures of Butt cans to apply as the wallpaper on my phone
· Collect random Brochures
· Eat at TGIFridays
· Color on the TGIF's kids menu and ask the table next to us to hang it up on the wall
Then I got back on the bus with Cody and DD and david and Luke and Booby and I called my little brother to wish him a happy 5th b day!
From there we went to the arena for another awsome night at the second winterfest service! Bobby and I walked around looking for double A's and he at pretzals! I dont like them nore can I spell them lol
I went outside the arena for like 30 minutes and sat and talked with Cody and Lindsay
We made a pile of burt matches and trash and then I put it all together in a cup!
Once the second service was over we went back to the bus (singing Mathius Replaces Judas) Showbread!!!
I was glad to see that Ashley, Wendy, and Robby all joined in to sing one of the best songs ever with me (thanks guys!) Once we got back to the Hotel I ciffed the AA's from the tv remote so I could listen to "The Rasmus" as I fell asleep. I thank Bobby for not snoring hardly at all that night (allowing john and I to sleep peacfully) HAHA... fell asleep...yep...
13th Sunday (last day at winterfest)
Ate a muffin...got on the bus, went to the arena, didnt have a pass for the arena, guy let me in any way
went down front for praise and worship, saw a girl wearing red pants, reminded me how much I love showbread, Fell in love with her w/o telling her LOL J/k, Prayed, sang, jumped up and down, Learned new hand motions for that song Every Move I make Went up to the seats listend to the message at the winterfest last day service. Found bobby, got free M&M's, ate them all, stole a bite of Robby's Ice cream, went back to the bus, Took a nap on the way home, listened to Showbreads entire cd with Cody, Listend to the Live FIF cd with cody, stopped at BK got a number six, slurpperd down a whole container of BBQ sauce, Tried not to vomit, succeded in not vommiting, Got back on the bus, poured my sprite from Bk in a water bottle for the rest of the ride home. Got back to the church around 5:30, got all my new budds info, like numbers xangas and emails... XdancedX with a bunch of cool kids in the church parking lot, Gave hugs
Drove home...
Yeah I had a great weekend, I want everyone that I met over the weekend to know that yall are totally some of the best friends I have and I consider you all a blessing! Thanks for making my first Winter fest RAW and amazing!
Cody ,Frocore, Robby, Dave, Ashley, Wendy, DD, John, and Scooter!!! You people are so Raw!
Moral of todays Post kids:
· Winterfest is awsome
· The Dream Giver is a must read
· there are some black people that listen to Core
· There is a whole lot more to do at the speedpark when you dont want to spend any money
· Parking lot XdanceX Pits are un-freakin believable!!!
